woah hey long time no see!! i've been SUPER busy and unmotivated these last couple weeks with uni starting back up again. i basically did that ethubs drawing in like a week and then didn't draw anything for nearly two weeks afterwards. i've got a super all-over-the-place page here! i actually finished drawing this on the 11th of April but for some reason just didn't export it until the 15th?? and then i completely forgot about this website. . . my bad chat.

i quite like this one! i've been really liking my art recently i feel like i'm starting to get actually good at drawing, dare i say.

(1) flower shop ethubs!!
i talk more about this in the last archive post, but basically i heard bdubs say "me and etho were thinking of opening a flower shop together" in one of joel's videos and i was consumed.

(2) cory redesign!
artfight is just around the corner (over two months away) so i've been super oc-brained!!!! i wanted to neaten up cory's design a bit and make it more, like, whimsical and specific to their character.

(3) WYLAN VAN ECK!!!!!!
i read the six of crows duology in four days and watched shadow and bone in a week i have been CONSUMED by thoughts of wylan van eck. i made him a spotify playlist. he's all i think about. he's so me trust (i say about every single character i slightly like). i love this drawing and i LOVE wylan van eck he's such a sweetheart. what a cutie patootie.

(4) some braid studies with etho and ghost
wanted to REALLY learn how to draw braids cause i was designing an oc with braids as a main motif (we'll get to him in a second). not a super big fan of the actual drawings here but i figured out a way to draw braids/plaits that i really like :3 i basically just do a solid shape with my lineart colour, then go over that with the actual hair colour to, like, carve out the hair sections.

(5) new (kind of) oc!!!! aarne!!
i've actually had concepts for this oc for a YEAR at least but i never had an image of him in my head UNTIL NOW!! this is aarne, he was part of the queen's royal guard before he allegedly (kind of) (not his fault) tried to kill her! and he's kind of the catalyst for him, sam, ghost, and cory coming together to overthrow the fire spirit which destroyed their lives and now possesses the queen. i'll write out all the lore some day it'll be on my characters page ( u _u)" " this is his design a couple weeks into traveling as a fugitive! braids and hair are really important in his culture, and i think as a knight he cut his hair short (as per uniform requirements) and his culture disappeared from his design. but as he travels he starts to reconnect with where he came from, and so he grows his hair out and plaits it when it's long enough and more colours and braided elements make their way into his clothing. but he's still a knight and he still feels a sense of duty towards the crown, which is why he still wears the royal red and a gambeson. i also did a portrait of him to go with the rest of my beloved medieval ocs! they all go together now on my artfight profile :3

(6) cory back view
more artfight refs! i had a cool idea for the backs of the clothing the bird people wear. they're buttoned to allow their wings to poke through, while giving the wearer personal preference to adjust how much is unbuttoned. this is particularly helpful for cory, who hides their wings for most of the story.

(7) playing with some brushes by SpaghetMeNot
went looking for a rake brush, and found this great brush pack! has some really nice foliage brushes which i play with here, and you can get some really cool textures with the rake brush! i need to play with these more but i haven't done much drawing since this

yepyep that's this one!! didn't have a whole lot to say (except for an entire lore dump on aarne). i've designed some lockwood and co ocs which i'm gonna be adding to my characters page (hopefully) soon!!! i adore them dearly. anyway i have a reread of six of crows to get back to have a good one!!

helloo i have a full finished drawing today!! i don't do finished illustrations very often i usually end up hating them by the end ToT but i don't hate this one!!

this features my hermitcraft 11 designs for etho and bdubs! i heard "etho and bdubs MAYBE opening a flower shop this season" and i've been consumed ever since #yeah

i've actually been working on this for over a week now?? i'm not exactly sure how long but i did pretty much the entire background today! i built the background in minecraft and painted over it. i actually REALLY like how it turned out i quite literally never do backgrounds. i really love the ray of light and the environmental effects it gives the drawing a lovely mood.

i wanted to depict a really nice quiet moment when they're both working in a greenhouse together - etho is looking after his flowers and bdubs is putting together his flower farm kits. as i was working on this i was kind of thinking of that moment when you're around a friend or something and you both happen to look at each other at the same time and you smile at each other but you don't really say anything? hmm i could probably describe that better. but that's the moment i wanted to depict. like etho is walking past and bdubs looks up and they smile at each other like they're sharing a joke.

the flowers and plants i picked don't really have any significance i just kind of picked whatever looked nice. i like torchflowers and they were the first flower that came to mind when i was drawing etho so torchflowers it was! we can say the cherry tree sapling represents etho's base and the fern represents bdubs' base ( u _ u)" ".

i also tried out adding a bit of a blue overlay into some of the shadows! is it called bounce light? i'm trying to remember another term i've heard but it isn't coming to me at the moment. the idea is that the blue sky is being reflected in the shadows. i quite like it especially in bdub's chain armour and etho's hair, ears, and jacket. my literal one small critique about this drawing is that bdubs looks a little like he's in a different style to etho but i think that's just cause of his big ol' eyes. i also could've maybe put more things on the table but i only just thought of that. i think i run the risk of making the foreground too cluttered if i were to add more props. ohhh i just noticed something in the drawing that i forgot to do. whatever i'm not saying it i'm just going to leave it.

but whatever those nitpicks don't matter, i'm really happy with this drawing!! i love the minecraft-y look of the background and the colours and the lighting and the warmth ya i'm quite happy.

3rd March, 2026: hmm what to draw

hello long time no see!! ironically enough, i got a bit art blocked from making this site, which was made purely for my art. i have a very sketchy one for you today! i started this i think immedidately after i completed the last sketchpage, which really exposes how long it takes me to draw ToT. overall i'm actually quite happy with it, i haven't done much proper sketching digitally so it was nice to loosen up.

(1) silly little cory
my oc cory!! i tried to draw them in the same style i drew my minecraft sona in in the last archive post (15/2/26) but i don't like this one as much. as you can tell by the "blehhh idk what to draw!!!" i was very much struggling ToT. might end up drawing all my ocs in this little style cause i quite like it but not today, apparently.

(2) hc11 rendog on a happy ghast
i was watching geminitay's stream vod of her and the hermits building the nether tunnels and the sight of ren in his big hat on a happy ghast was SO funny. i love rendog the blue and his comedically large wizard hat.

(3) my oc ghost frolicking
i did all these little uncoloured sketches in the one drawing session which is kind of crazy for me since i usually draw one single thing and that's it for the day. i really want to come back to this sketch i really like the idea!! i wanted to draw ghost being whimsical and free in her forest but i just could not force my brain to go past the basic sketch stage.

(4) my minecraft sona
i actually drew the little thumbnail to the top left first. i coloured it in greyscale and used gradient maps to add colour cause i was being lazy, and then just yesterday i came back and actually coloured and rendered it properly cause it was BOTHERING me leaving it unfinished. the vines on the hat are meant to be glowberries cause i love them!! i think they're so whimsical.

(4) ethoslab sketch
the lock in on this sketch is CRAZY idk what happened. i just started crosshatching and this happened. LOVE the sketch though it feels like a portrait in an old sketchbook or something.

(5) hc11 joel smallishbeans icon
another case of "wanting-to-draw-something-but-not-knowing-what"! it's really fun to draw little icons of characters and things i've done some for my main ocs which you'll (eventually) see on their character pages. i took inspiration from candyje11fish for the shading style.

(6) ldshadowlady's dungeon delivery character, polly inkpot
polly inkpot!!!!!!! i love her just the name alone made me love her. absolutely IN LOVE with the rendering and colours sometimes i open krita just to look at this drawing. i referenced candyje11yfish's drawing of polly inkpot for this one. a little note about the design is that i wanted her hair to look like an ink splatter. i also love the little scalloped collar i gave her it feels very fairy fort lizzie.

(7) ghost greyscale study
as you can see i was desperately trying to come back to this drawing of ghost ToT. i quite like the composition and i like the frame but then i put in the values and realised how close they are on ghost's design and lost motivation -~-. i tried fixing it with filter masks, this is the fixed version! yeah but i'm shelving this idea for now i'll hopefully come back to it.

(8) moss cloak bdubs!
i've been watching bdub's hermitcraft season 9 at the moment! he's such a creature in the moss cloak. this was originally a doodle i did in the margin of a worksheet i was given at uni and i needed something to fill in that top space so he's there now.

welcome to my second art archive backlog!! i'm going to skip the overall thoughts on this one because i completed this so long ago that i don't really have any particular overall thoughts.

(1) lyrebird grian
i saw a tiktok from someone who drew i think specifically life series grian as a lyrebird and i love that headcanon! i also tried out a new brush with this one. i think i had the brush size too large, that's something i struggle with in digital art. it was also kind of hard to find references for lyrebird wings so i'm not sure if they're accurate or not...

(2) hermitcraft 11 dragonfly grian design
i'm so happy with my hc11 grian design!!! i felt like a genius when i came up with it lowkey. i was inspired by all the stained glass in his starter base which made me think of a dragonfly with colourfully panelled wings. i also looked up references of the kind of clothing that victorian gardeners wore, since grian was going for a victorian greenhouse style. i'm still not sure how to include the end crystals on his outfit, but i'm predicting this design will change as he moves into working on his observatory mega base which i am VERY excited for observatories are so cool.

(3) doodle of me thinking about ethubs at work
i'm so ethubs-pilled at the moment ToT they're just so silly. i am, however, a survivor of the 2020 mcyt fandom so you're never gonna catch me shipping creators, i just like their dynamic as a duo ( u _u)"" (nodding face btw i can't tell if that's clear or not)

(4) !! ethoslab
i love my etho design it's so fun to draw. i also love characters with masks it's so fun to do expressions with just their eyes and body language. i say as someone with no ocs with masks and etho is the only time i ever draw someone with a mask on.

(5) ethoslab and trouble
the hermits and their copper golems are so silly to me!!! the moment in etho's hc11 episode 4 when he realises that his copper golems are a disappointment is so funny (although i think the golem's name in that clip is problem, not trouble). anyway i love this drawing i love etho's expression and the little golem looking up at him adorably. the golem gave me a lot of trouble (haha get it) but i eventually got the geometry down by fanangling around with reference images. i also want to mention that i thought of the game hades and the little flower particles that pop up sometimes when a character speaks, usually hypnos, which i used to kind of show the copper golem's expression(?).

i love how the general consensus with the hermits that tried copper golems is "you guys suck but you're SO adorable i can't possibly be mad". i love the way i shaded the copper golem on this one i feel like the reflections are so good. also love the way i drew grian!! i feel like i did really well with the expressions on this page. i think this is like the one time i've successfully gotten the right line width.

ya that's the post!! not as many drawings in this one. i'm providing my overall thoughts now.
now that i've actually gone through and thought about this page i quite like it! it's got some designs and drawings that i really like.

helloooo!! C: welcome to another archive post! this one took me sooo long i started it probably a day or two after my last sketchpage (the first archive post) so it's taken me over two weeks ToT

i did quite a bit of experimenting on this one with new brushes and styles and things. i'm overall quite happy with it!! i actually really like all of the drawings. i'm not completely sure of the order i drew these in, i numbered them about halfway through the sketchpage to try and keep track. i also reorganised the drawings so they would fit together better so the order is a little all over the place ^^"

i had a nice little moment in my world where i was standing on a boat fishing in the rain in my river and i wanted to draw it! that's all!

(2) silly little bdoubleO100
he's literally 1 apple tall!!!1! this was drawn at the same time as the last sketch late at night. he's so silly.

(3) portrait of my oc, cory
CORY!!!!!! this is the only drawing on this sketchpage that im not completely happy with. their face is just slightly wrong but i still quite like it. despite that i'm happy that i have these portraits of my ocs i'm hoping to use them for their artfight profiles if my style hasn't changed too much^^

(4) portrait of my oc, ghost
i love her!!!! once again i'm actually not totally happy with her expression i think it's a bit too neutral and i really need to figure out how i draw braids but like that's her that's ghost. i'm hoping to introduce all my ocs and their lore properly once i figure out my 'characters' page because i love them!!

(5) portrait of my oc, sam
this is the only one that looks exactly like them like yeah that IS sam. these ocs are all part of my medieval fantasy world and they're in a little team/group together alongside an unnamed knight with no design and no lore ToT (i keep telling myself i'll get around to it but i need the idea beamed into my head first)

(6) grian's dnd character, max blunder, from giggs+pix dnd
giggs dnd is SOOOO silly i was listening to session 1 while drawing basically all of those oc portraits. the design is based off of grian's session 0 thumbnail (found on the TwoMuchGrian youtube channel). i can't believe max blunder was raised in the circus, does backflips, and plays the bagpipes and yet he somehow isn't a bard. i actually haven't finished watching the session yet i'm not a big dnd watcher ToT i've got probably like half an hour or something left but i am hoping they do a longer campaign :3

(7) my minecraft sona design!
i talked more about their design in my last blog post but i added a couple little details to this! they were inspired by my drawing of max blunder because i wanted more whimsy. i added the trim to the cape and sparkles to the hat, as well as the little braided/wrapped bit in the hair. i love this design i'm thinking about drawing all my sonas together because i love them dearly.

(8) hermitcraft 11 bdoubleo100
"goal number 2: be mean more often." i love the juxtaposition of these two bdubs drawings literally geeked vs locked in it's so funny. the design is inspired by bonanafone once again (i love their hermitcraft art, clearly). i love drawing spiky hair i feel like it's a signature part of my art but god is it hard to render/shade. i also tried out screentones again on this one and i'm not 100% sold i think i tend to go overboard with screentones i need to use them more selectively...

(9) my minecraft sona but silly
i'm so in love with this drawing it just looks so stupid and silly. the eyes are from inklings/octolings from splatoon i wanted to bring that into my chibi art because i love splatoon!!!! i want to pick him up and put him in my pocket which is slightly weird to say because that's also me.

(10) trying out a new brush with ethoslab
i've been making/tinkering with a lot of brushes at the moment! i quite like this one i love how sketchy and scratchy it is. i also love this drawing i especially love how i drew his hair and ears.

(11) trying out a new brush with cory
trying out the same brush but with a bit more of a painterly style! i also wanted to see how i like drawing cory with a relatively more "realistic" way of drawing hair like i've done in previous pieces. i quite like it but i think i prefer their star/sun shaped hair!

(12) hermitcraft 11 joel smallishbeans and geminitay
absolutely loving their dynamic this season the contrast between these two as neighbours is so funny. i drew them at different scales and this was kind of the closest i could get them without the lineart looking too drastically different. i think this has the potential to be a complete piece with a background and proper shading and stuff but i just couldn't really be bothered ToT this also served as designing hc11 gem!! i love when people draw hc11 gem as a dragon and i combined that with my own interpretation of her skin. i'm not very good at armour and i had no idea what to do when it came to the lower legs so just don't look at it too hard ToT

(13) minecraft sona finding a coral zombie nautilus
i went exploring this morning and found a coral zombie nautilus!! i think they're rare but i'm honestly not sure they look cool though i love the nautilus C: i also killed my first trident drowned and got a trident which is DEFINITELY rare!! i, however, do not have mending yet so i can't actually use it i don't know how else you repair tridents. this drawing is actually so silly though i used gradient maps and filters to make it look blue and underwater. oh and i also made and tried out another new brush with this one!! i wanted a brush purely for sketching little doodles that i can be a little looser with and i quite like it! i usually clean up sketches as i go and make them into line art but i want more sketchy drawings. i'm having tons of fun with krita's brush engine there's still so many things i need to explore on there.

11th February, 2026: glowing cory sketchpage

welcome to my first backlog post!! i'll be working my way backwards from most recent with these, while also posting sketchpages as i complete them.

i'm actually not that happy with this sketchpage `~` it feels a bit disjointed?? and i'm not overly happy with any of the drawings. this is also a prime example of me doing everything on one canvas - finished illustrations, doodles, character designs, they're all together.

(1) glowing cory
this was inspired by this video on tiktok by olisbug! this is once again in the non-longer-canon version of the story where cory dies. the hands represent the deity they worship welcoming their spirit. for something that's not canon anymore i sure do draw it a lot, the imagery is just so fun!!! i'm really happy with the colouring on this one, i love the messy watercolour look that i got. i just think the anatomy on cory is a bit off, i think their head is too big. i already made it smaller once, and i didn't notice it was still too big until after i saved the image and i really didn't feel like changing it again.

(2) ethoslab design!
this is like my base etho design, and i change and add stuff based on the series. as you can tell by the notes i already have a bunch of ideas for different etho designs ^^ he's a fox/fennec fox, inspired by bonanafone on tumblr/tiktok (link is in my last blog post). i don't really have much to say about this one, just a basic etho design.

(3) my minecraft sona with a dandelion
this is my silly little minecraft sona!! my skin is currently wirt from over the garden wall, which i've adapted into my own style. the design features a bundle, because i love them i think bundles are great i always carry a bunch with me, and a lodestone compass pointing to my base that i always carry in my off-hand! i much prefer lodestone compasses over coordinates, it's so much easier and intuitive to find your way back to things with a compass rather than looking at the f3 screen. also i know the exact direction to go instead of using all my brainpower to figure out coordinates but that might be a skill issue. the dandelion is because in my most recent base i built a couple large dandelions using cobwebs!! they're so whimsical ^^

(4) joel smallishbeans being completely normal (hermitcraft 11)
this is completely normal and fine nothing to see here!! i absolutely love joel's skin this season of course i had to draw him being strange and offputting. i tried out a new brush with this one that i didn't end up liking, but i think the drawing is fine. i think i definitely captured the uncanny vibe that i see in a lot of hc11 joel art.

(5) silly little ethoslab and bdoubleo100
this is from one of goodtimeswithscar's hc11 vods at about the 3hrs 47mins mark! i think i drew this late at night when i wanted to draw something but i didn't have the brain power to actually draw. i think this was just a really silly moment.

welcome to my first art archive post!!! these are going to take the format of the date the art was saved, an overview of my thoughts, and then a breakdown of each individual drawing in the order i completed them with any thoughts i have.

i have a backlog of art that i want to post on here, but i thought i would start with my most recent finished sketchpage!

i've been so hermitpilled at the moment it's all i draw...

overall i'm very happy with this sketchpage ^^ i think all the colours work well together and all the drawings fit together nicely, which is sometimes the hardest part about sketchpages. the crazy scribbles in the background are from making a new brush. i thought they added some interest to the background so i set the layer to overlay and kept them!

(1) hermitcraft 11 grian with chorus fruit vines
i drew this after watching gem's stream vod where her, grian, and etho built a chorus fruit farm!! it features my hc11 dragonfly grian design! i'll probably write more on the design if/when i post the sketchpage where i made it, but it's inspired by the colourful stained glass in his base this season! i thought it would be cool if hc 11 grian was covered in these like parasitic chorus fruit vines like those you see on trees (the liana plant). i didn't quite get the idea across how i wanted to, and i was trying out a new brush which i did not end up liking. i might revisit this idea cause i think it's really cool.

(2) ethoslab with flygon and froakie
i was watching etho's pixelmon series and i wanted to draw him with some pokemon! i've never drawn pokemon before or played a single pokemon game but i think they're cool :3 i chose flygon because of that moment where he first encounters one and thinks it makes a very funny noise, and froakie because it was his starter! i also included his speed boots in the flygon drawing. when drawing minecraft youtubers, i love trying to include little details from their actual equipment and stuff ^^

(3) ethoslab hc11 design
as you can tell, i have been watching a lot of etho... my default etho design is a fox/fennec fox, inspired by bonanafone (tumblr), but i added allay wings to reference his um... allay torturing activities.... i also took inspiration from cyperpunk aesthetics with his outfit! i'm not 100% happy with the drawing itself, i was pretty tired when drawing it but i quite like the concept.

(4) my oc, cory, exploding into a star
rahhh i love my ocs!!!!!! you're gonna see a lot more of cory they're my pride and joy. this drawing is set in the original version of the story where they... um... died... .. but it's okay that's not canon anymore cause i like them too much and i want them to be happy at the end! i'm actually not that happy with this drawing though ToT. it's a very cool idea but i think the execution didn't quite work out. i kinda ate though with the arms and hands.

(5) hermitcraft 11 impulsesv and geminitay
grouping these together cause i did them on the same day! i loveee these two drawings i love the looseness of my colouring and the colours work really well together and i love their designs. the impulse design was based off of this drawing by forrest13 and the gem design was cobbled together from her skin plus a couple posts i saw on tumblr. yeah i'm super happy with these two and i've been striving to replicate this exact artstyle ever since.

(6) my oc, frances!
this is one of my ocs from the lockwood & co book series by jonathan stroud! her name is frances sullivan and she's one half of the psychical investigation agency, sullivan & baker! i've really been struggling to design these two nothing i draw looks like their image in my head -^- i think frances has darker hair than this, like more of a coppery light brown, and her haircut also isn't quite right. but i love her very much and i really want to do more with them.

(7) hieroglyphs by the oh hellos
this is a little drawing inspired by the song "hieroglyphs" by the oh hellos! i absolutely ADORE that song and the entire eurus album. this drawing actually came about from the merging of two ideas. the first is this activity i did in art class once, where we listened to one song on repeat for the entire session and just created what we envisioned while listening to the song. the second is this post i saw on tiktok about ACEOs (art cards, editions and originals). i then tried to paint my interpretation of this song and failed miserably because i haven't painted anything in ages, so i went to digital art and drew this little thumbnail! i'm SUPERRR happy with it, it perfectly encapsulates how i feel when i listen to hieroglyphs, especially the final verses.
